At Blackbird, we love a great steak — but we’re going further. Introducing The Great Australian Steak Passport, a one-night-only dining experience that takes guests on a journey across the country through a multi-course celebration of beef, as part of Melbourne Food and Wine Festival.
We’ve curated a five-course menu that highlights exceptional cuts from some of Australia’s most respected producers, including Five Founders Beef, Australia’s first certified carbon-neutral beef, and Scenic Rim Native Beef, nourished with barley marsh from Boonah Brewing Co. Our menu also showcases rare heritage breeds such as Charolais, Chianina and Belted Galloway, sourced directly from farmers who specialise in small herds and single-breed cattle.
Guided by Ghanem Group executive chef Jake Nicolson and Melbourne executive chef Tim Menger, the evening is paired with fine Australian wines and expertly crafted cocktails.
